Ann Paris

c1800-1860

 

Ann Willis was born in Newbury. She married William Paris (born c1795 in Upton Gray Hampshire) on the 2nd January 1820 at St Nicolas Church Newbury

William and Ann had the following children:

Mary born c1827 Lambeth Surrey

Charles c1831 Newbury

William Henry c1833 Newbury

Jane c1835 Newbury

The 1841 census records William (45), Straw Hat Manufacturer, Ann (40), Mary (13), Charles (10), William (8) and Jane (6), living in Northbrook Street Newbury

In 1851 William (55), Brewer, Ann (51), Mary (22), Charles (20) and Jane (16) were still living in Northbrook Street. Their son William (20) had left home, he was working as a Draper’s Shopman, living at 123/124 High Street Southampton Hampshire.

Ann died aged 59 on the 20th January 1860 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 27th January.

The 1861 census records William (65), Brewer, his daughters, Mary (32) and Jane (26) + two servants living in Northbrook Street. By 1871 William (75) was living with his son Charles and his family at Bridge Brewery Newbury, William was recorded in this census as an Annuitant.

William died aged 76 on the 20th March 1872 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 27th March.
