John Strange

c1814-1862

John was born in Froxfield Wiltshire he was baptised on the 2^nd January 1814 in Froxfield and was the son of John & Sarah Strange. He married Anne Phillips (born c1820 in Newbury) in Newbury in 1846.

John and Ann had the following children:

John was working as an Agricultural Labourer (1851), a Labourer (1854) and a Green Grocer (1861).

The family lived in Roberson’s Yard Newbury (1851), Lamb and Flag Yard Bartholomew Street (1854) and Northcroft Lane (1861).

John died aged 48 in 1862 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 18^th November.
