John Pike

1862-1862

John was born in Newbury he was the son of John and Mary Ann (married as Marianne) Pike (nee Curtis) who married in Newbury in 1859. His father was born c1835 in Chieveley Berkshire and was a Labourer and his mother Mary Ann was born c1839 in Newbury.

In 1861 John and Mary were living in Shaw Road Speenhamland Newbury.

John died aged 1 day and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 20^th September.

John had a sister Mary Ann born in 1863 but sadly both his mother and sister passed away not long after Mary Ann was born. Both were buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery, his mother was laid to rest on the 15^th August and his sister was laid to rest on the 25^th August. His father John died 3 months later and was laid to rest on the 12^th November in St Mary the Virgin Chieveley .
