Fanny Beckhuson

c1844-1861

Fanny Maria was born in Newbury she was the daughter of George Henry and Eliza Beckhuson (nee Tutill) who were married on the 2^nd December 1832 at St Paul Portland Square Bristol. Her father was born c1810 in Bristol and her mother was born c1815 in East Ham Essex.

George and Eliza also had the following children:

Sarah, Emma and Eliza Jane were all baptised in 1836 their father George was recorded as a Publican on the baptism record. Later records record George as an Attorney’s Clerk (1851), Law Writer (1861), Solicitor’s Managing Clerk (1871) and Accountant (1881).

By 1838 the family were living in Newbury, they were recorded living in Bartholomew Street in 1841 and Bartholomew Terrace, Pound Street, Newbury in 1851-1881

Fanny died on either the17th or 18^th December 1861 she was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 24^th December (Newspaper records age at death as 16, died the 18^th, GRO records age as 16, MI records age as 17, died the 17th and NBI records age as 17)

Her father died aged 72 on the 25^th July 1881 he was laid to rest in the Newtown road Cemetery on the 29^th July.
