AUGUSTIN THORN

Son of Edmund and Elizabeth Thorn, born 6 March 1830.

He was a shoemaker

He married Mary White in 1852 and they had six children.

Mary, his wife died 7 April 1911 and his son Alfred died 23 March 1934,  aged 77yrs. Augustin is buried with his wife and son.

The family were living at Drummer, Newbury (Drummer Arms Hotel) on the 1861 census.

1871 and 1881 living at Westfields.

On 1891 census they are living at Clifton House, Newbury.

On 1901 census Augustin and Mary were living at 12 Church Alms Houses where Augustin died in 1904.
