George Strange

1858-1859

George was born in Newbury he was the son of John and Anne Strange (nee Phillips) who married in Newbury in 1846, his father was born in Froxfield Wiltshire c1814 and worked as an Agricultural Labourer (1851) and Green Grocer (1861) and his mother was born in Newbury c1820.

John and Anne also had the following children:

Maria 1862

George died aged 0 in 1859 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 16^th March.

The family lived in Roberson’s Yard Newbury (1851), Lamb and Flag Yard Bartholomew Street (1854) and Northcroft Lane (1861).

His father died aged 48 in 1862 he was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 18^th November.
