Sarah Warne

c1829-1862

Sarah Field was born in Spitalfields Middlesex she was baptised on the 11^th April 1830 at Christ Church Spitalfields and was the daughter of Edward & Lucy Field.

Sarah gave birth to a son James in 1848 and married James Warne in 1850 in Newbury.  James was born c1828 in Newbury and was a Cordwainer.

James and Sarah had the following children:

Ann 1851

Emma 1853-1854

Esther c1855-1856

Caroline 1857

Elizabeth 1860

The family lived in Old Cattle Market Newbury.

James died in 1861 he was buried in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 14^th January the funeral service was held at St Nicolas Church Newbury.

The 1861 census records Sarah working as a Charwoman she died aged 33 the following year and was laid to rest in the Newtown Road Cemetery on the 20^th May 1862.
